Tart it up with artistic flourishes as much you like Gurney, fact remains the performances by and large weren’t anywhere near good enough and the buck stops with Dean. The barometer dial barely moved from ‘dull / cloudy’ up against half decent teams. No progress was made on that score all season. Players looked like they needed better coaching, others faired better elsewhere etc. Formations, team selection, tactics etc. Are you ignoring all that in favour of ideological principles?
