Martin Luther was an interesting chap, a man of his time, mostly right about the corruption and hypocrisy of the Catholic Church. That said, he was a rabble rouser and quite an antisemite with his tome ‘On the Jews and their Lies’ in which he called for the burning of Jewish schools and synagogues, destruction of Jewish books, confiscation of Jewish property and more. Another reason as to why idolisation and putting people on a pedestal shouldn’t happen.
