I think the club is probably the best judge of that, and the fact a reconsideration was asked for suggests they think the reduced sale window might cause an unnecessary strain.
Assuming that’s the reason why the extension was requested.
Ordinarily on a match day you can’t hand over cash or tap your card at the turnstiles.
I know there will be “reasons” for this and I’m moving the discussion away from the OP but I simply don’t understand why clubs which are not going to sell out the ground don’t have turnstiles where you can do this. Surely it should be as easy as possible to separate potential customers from their money? Especially on the terrace where there’s no issue around seat allocations.
