If promotion to the EFL was at stake then I’d understand the urgency- but it isn’t and there’s hardly any financial gain to be had. It could be a painful few months but it’s a case of suck it up and regroup in the summer.
The players do have to take a certain amount of responsibility too, they know the score with the club’s finances and collectively they are on an absolute fortune.
