I had presumed over the last few years that boards like this, a [ain to set up and cultivate were going to disappear. With the advent of easy social media groups ,like facebook,in which anyone can set up a group instantly and the relatively simple access and viral ability to spread ,it was easy to see why facebook groups get large memberships, particularly when we have time of stress or great interest.
In our case I am genuinely shocked at how much credence our little site still gets ,I though many times over the years we’d have shut down
It’s by far the better of it, here. The Facebook group was ok for a quick bit of news and/or opinion – but it went absolutely toxic and has not truly recovered. The main culprit is all over it again, chirping, chipping in and polluting it. Ruined it, for me.
At least here you can say your piece and (usually) have a tidy debate.
