I interpret the statement to mean that Insolvency Practitioners have either been consulted or soon will be. The likely outcome will be a period of Administration (are there points deduction at NLN level?) and further pressure being put on the club’s creditors via a CVA.
The problem now is the professional, decent and sensible people (Ian, Keith & Tahina) no longer want to serve the club. You are left with board members who are limited and add next to nothing.
Given the uncertainty, a press release which reads and I quote, “The Chairman and remaining board members have now set out a plan in order to very quickly make the club sustainable.” would not pass the quality control department at Andrex.
Hilton is what he is. However, the Football Association, its Os’& Ds’ Test and Peter Swann have a lot of questions to answer as far as I am concerned.
