Surely Swann won’t want to be known as the past Chairman who destroyed SUFC and broke the hearts of our very loyal supporters.

Swann spent money that he and the club didn’t have and to offset the losses kindly signed over all our assets to his company. I don’t think he gives a toss how he comes across.

I’m no Swann supporter, but at least get your facts right

Swann transferred assets over to his company in return for writing off £11,000,000.

I accept that he, and his managers, were absolutely crap with the use of the money over a long period, but he could have let us keep the assets and the £11M debt. We would have been much worse off than we are now.

On a Radio Humberside interview the EGO said we had gambled but failed.

That is factually incorrect – HE had gambled, we had no say in it. In fact no one had. So who sanctioned the spending season after season that then totaled into the debt of £11 Million – The Chairman had. Yet the club who had no so say in it has to repay its money to the person who spent it !!

It was a gamble, and a bad one. Far too many clubs are doing the same, with dubious owners and no Plan B.

Many of us were not complaining about money being spent in the first few years as we hope for success and promotion. Disaster struck when we failed.

As the owner, Swann could do what he liked, and he did. He even found a mug to buy the club, unfortunately it seems to be that it is another bad ‘un. We shall find out for certain very soon……
