I read the statement as a doubling down and an attempt to shore up a pretty weak position with an impression of determination to carry on.
Fair enough, but personally I think a period of silence would be welcome from the leadership. Actions not words are what counts. Either the resources exist to face down the CCJs, winding up order, debts, or they don’t.
