Fair question,Deerey. And I may well be wrong. Sometimes you go by instinct.. gut feeling if you like ..and then make the call.
It may be linked to my own chequered past and the turn around that came.for me. Also perhaps to some past struggles with mental/emotional issues. Maybe this has distorted my judgment ..but I think I heard some raw honesty and genuine humility in an interview that he didn’t have to take. If I’m making an error of judgment I’d rather err on the side of grace rather than t’other way. IBs forensic analysis earlier could be bang on accurate ..but boy is it cold and merciless. I’d rather live next door to a broken guy struggling out of his mess than a cold-hearted pharisee.
