Have you conveniently forgotten the atrocities done in the name of Christianity. The crusades, the Spanish inquisition, etc. Genocide done by the Christian Right governments. There are atrocities and immorality in many governments and institutions, religious and secular, left and right. Immorality is not the preserve of atheism.
