I am no fan of anti-Catholic discrimination either. However, the particular tale of Jews being some fiendish cabal in control of people’s lives is well trodden and has been used to excuse their oppression, by making out the anti-Semite isn’t being anti-Semitic, but opposing some great threat to their people.
I am not directing this at you or accusing you of anything. I just don’t think it’s a good idea to talk about a government being above criticism when this isn’t about criticising a government. Those who assign ridiculous conspiracies to Israel controlling others and such aren’t doing it through legitimate criticism (which is what I was mocking), they do it because they use Israeli as a euphemism for Jews, essentially. They don’t do it about other nations. I am yet to here about fiendish Serbian, Jordanian, Congolese, Peruvian or Vanuatuan conspiracies in controlling others.
