I also don’t think her apology is much of one. As you say though, it is not the only time she has been caught short. There’s also the time she denied the suffering of the Uighurs and made positive comments about Mao.
There is also the fact that this comes shortly after Labour has been reprimanded by the EHRC for anti-Semitism. It cannot afford to let such instances slip. No matter the source.
