Any conformation Hilton and his family got abused, or is it all Social Media Talk?
The current rumours are, from several on twitter claiming to be there, is that the culprit shouted “that’s fucking shit” at Hilton, who responded with “fuck off, I’ve only been here for a couple of months.”
Some who deride the rumours about Hilton’s background seem to have jumped on the rumours of family being in the car, personal abuse and what not on this. I don’t think shouting anything at Hilton solves anything, and it shouldn’t have been done, but the the differences in narrative is telling.
Some say that it’s the Hilton rumour spreaders who are to blame alone. Yet there is an opinion piece on this site calling for unity. I fail to see how leaping on rumours of some personal attack is doing anything to help in that, yet those who do will berate others for lack of unity.
I have no idea as to what really happened, but I reiterate that nothing should have been shouted. If it was “that’s fucking shit” those deriding our fans as being the worst in the world need to get a grip and learn not to amplify what might be false rumours to appear as ‘top fans’ and sowing disunity. If Hilton was to walk away because of that, I’d question if his heart was really in it from the start, though I wouldn’t blame him for reacting as he may have done. If it was more personal, then of course it needs severe condemnation and repercussions.
Either way, I don’t think all this speculation without basis on all things Hilton is helping, and neither extreme are coming out well. We should be able to question Hilton, but some of the stuff is not substantiated. Those who want to support Hilton can do, but attacking our fanbase is too much.
