Chapman Foster: more than happy with Chapman as number 1 next year. Be surprised if Foster is still here come August though.
Ogle Boyce: Would like to see Richards-Everton offered a new deal, whether he accepts is a different matter. Experienced centre back is a must. O’Malley can go for me and get a new left back in.
Pugh Shrimpton Butterfield Beestin: not happy with this midfield. Confused to why Pugh has a new deal and I think Beestin is one of those who needs a fresh start. Will Butterfield drop to NLN?- I doubt it. Total revamped needed
Elliot Carver: on paper these 2 have both done well at NLN. If he persists with 4-2-3-1 then probably only 1 addition needed.
No news on Wilson, I assume that’s him gone then.
We HAVE to go get our business done early- no excuses. I imagine fitness will play a big part in this league with so many part time. Get a proper pre season in them.
Smaller squad size: using 35 players a season is a good explanation for our current woes. 24/25 is plenty- especially at this level. Use the loan market to cover injuries if necessary but not just to warehouse players.
Do the due diligence on the players: with a smaller squad we need to weed out those who are injury prone; let Hallam be a warning.
Finally, get the right characters in!! We need leaders across the pitch. Players willing to organise and manage a game themselves. Our game management has been so weak for years now.
