I’m prepared to be shot down here and it’s obvious to see Dean has made mistakes, and rather annoyingly continues to do so. For the love of god Jimmy, quit this one up top shite. But to pin all the ills on Dean seems a bit simplistic no?? Some of these players go back to Cox’s era so will have played under 5 different manager’s including caretaker’s etc. How many of the current squad would we lose any sleep over if they were gone tomorrow? To say some have been stealing a living is unfortunately not a massive understatement. If multiple managers can’t get a tune out of the players then maybe just maybe the players themselves should be taking as much flak as Dean is currently. I’m sure I’ve heard of a thing called professional pride.
I have no great conviction that Dean is the answer but it’s clear in my mind he’s not the only problem.
The Admiral was starting to mould a team, a style of play and a belief.
A charabanc of shite wearing ‘kiss me quick’ hats and kissing an (I’m shite) badge hasn’t worked.
I said this some time ago, after the first 3 or 5 games – player power.
If they don’t like the manager, for whatever reason, and let’s not forget, that someone raised the bullying issue (?) – then they won’t try / play for you.
Leopards don’t change their spots, Scousers don’t change their shell suits.
It’ll be the same next season.
