Two or three times a year ..just squeeze value on my pensioners rod licence. Mainly catch perch on maggot or worm on free stretches of the Leeds-Liverpool canal.Occasionally on the Wharfe near Otley or the Nidd at Knaresborough … one or two tasty trout there last year.My wife loves all the peripheral stuff on Gone Fishing … scenery, banter, philosophising, cooking whilst I also get the bonus of the fishing.
