This is rapidly heading for ‘non footie’ if we’re not careful …. But I am more than 90% with Gurney on this. Commercial and economic interests too easily override basic social .. even humanitarian interests… in far too many decisions. The closure or relocation of Post Office branches is another prime example. In Scunny’s case surely staffing the ticket office phone from say 10 – 4 on a Thursday and Friday before a Saturday match would be doable … and might even more than pay for itself in the long run. ( Not 100% agreement, Gurney. First because it’s not just a Tory issue. It’s the tension between commercial/economic interests and social/customer interests which every shade of Govt, Business and football club has to navigate.
