I’m pretty sure other posters on here have only said the BBC has become more influenced by Tory pressure in recent years, not that they are ‘in the clutches of the Tories’, which would appear much more extreme. I don’t doubt for a second many in the Party wouldn’t welcome that but we’re not quite at the level of Russia yet.
