It’s more the fact that we rarely bring in anything other than untried youngsters. Guesswork.
If we have the possibility of more experience arriving – that’s okay with me if:
they start off being fit; they have a good history as giving close to 100%; they are maybe considering a transfer at a later point.
Also, they need to be watched as they circle in the paddock to ensure that: fetlocks are in order; eyes are bright; withers supple and are able to trot, canter and accelerate.
