Another 500 season tickets would pay the EFL for this year. A loan that was taken out after the club was supposedly free of debt! So the owner not only puts no more money in he cripples the club with a heavily caveated loan. Any cash left for players – does it go to Will Swann? If so I’ll keep my money for the gas bill thankyou very much.
Here’s the nub of the question, fans don’t believe what the chairman says concerning ticket money, some will wait for a takeover some will pay on the day, some have had enough ( a lot). Many are ambivalent, many want to see affirmative action from the chairman. The dynamic isn’t simplistic. I will say that fans will not benefit from the clubs demise, somebody will.
