Hey guys. This looks opportunistic to me. There’s no ‘non football’ now so I’d best be brief. I think these statements are superficial and simplistic … at the risk of offending , maybe even cheap shots. My analysis is that we are increasingly moving towards a society where words like shame and honesty are devoid of meaning. Good and bad, right and wrong imply an ideal … and we are starting to feel the impact of the erosion of Judaea- Christian foundations and man’s attempts to generate his own morality. Rising suicide, multiple gender possibilities .. ‘cake’ the latest I see … epidemics of anorexia/bulimia, the concept of marriage gutted, addictions proliferating. No wonder drink and drug fuelled individuals who have never been encouraged to grow character … who have never been told that there is a character to grow … will manifest the type of behaviour we are seeing. We have sown the wind … now we reap the whirlwind. Praying for a re-calibration of society for the health and good of all. It may well affect the ballot box .. but sure as hell won’t begin there.
