To be totally honest – an overwhelming sense of relief – this has been coming for over 2 years now and I freely admit to not travelling to Glanford park for 3 years. I supported the Iron through the dark years of the 70’s when we applied for re-election on a regular basis but have never wavered in my support until a certain Mr Swann showed has face ( did no-one realise what he did to Gainsborough Trinity before accepting his blood money). Successive mangers have has absolutely no chance with the embargo in place so hope we have a complete clear out of playing staff and start again from scratch. This can only happen if Swann ‘disappears’ taking his nepotism and sycophantic apologists with him. It is not loyality to the club blindly accepting what has happened over the past 3 years – wake up, smell the roses, and get behind a ‘new’ club and future. I’ll be back as soon as Swann sells up but not before – don’t suppose he fancies his chances at Grimsby or Hull ?
