I don’t like the current level of stewarding and the general approach. I was right behind the incident and was genuinely fearful of an invasion and attack on the stewards who a) would have been swamped by the young lads congregated at the front b) looked physically inadequate … two of the 8 or 9 were young girls and at least one was a small, elderly guy. This really needs looking at for the last few games. As I said before …. the guy who jumped the wall seemed to have some sort of intention beyond leading an invasion. Maybe there had been an exchange which I didn’t hear; maybe there had been previous issues; maybe he knew him from elsewhere … I don’t know … but the lad who jumped the wall launched into that particular steward with the intention of giving him a pasting and, whether banned or not, should be on an assault charge.
