There’s a world of difference in running an operating loss and pumping money into the infrastructure for the long term future of a club. Eventually it will pay dividends, as seen at Lincoln.
It’s what Swann should have invested his millions in when he first arrived. Improve facilities; improve supporter engagement; improve the long term sustainability rather than trying to massage his ego by chasing a championship dream that no reasonable Scunthorpe supporter would expect.
After all his millions, bluster and bullshit we are left with an ageing, tired looking stadium; basic training facilities, attendances at a 30 year low; and probably the worst football team ever assembled in our 72 years as a league team.
