If we are still under the EFL embargo then we are limited in squad size. To make room for newcomers we would have to move some out and loanees look the best option as it’s hard to see much demand for players under contract. If Wood, Scrimshaw and Billson were on a season long loan can we terminate that in January? I’d be happy to keep Scrimshaw and Billson and extend Hackney but if we can only shift Wood it seriously limits incomings and they’ll have to come from the bargain bin anyway.
As for a RB Cliff, Millen got a 2 year deal and with Rowe, Pugh and now Green as options (not necessarily good options) I think a RB will be way down Hill’s list.
However if we get the embargo lifted…………………….!!(cue alcy)
