The Newcastle game in 73/74 was played during the day, the same as the Millwall replay due to the 3 day week power cuts, having got a good kicking at Newcastle the nearest we dare drink at home was the Bell and Anchor lol. Another record season that year we were awarded 2 points that season as Exeter didn’t have enough fit players for our home game with them, the first ever time a season was not completed a record that stood for 45years till Bolton started playing silly buggers in 2019. 69/70 cup run was were the footy song F em all started which everyone has stolen, such a shame our cup history but he ho there’s always next year and that dream.
