If we do fail to stay up it’s definitely the lack of quality strikers will hurt us. Midfield and defence are solid enough, it’s just the last bit you need to score, we don’t seem to have.
I think you’re being very generous WG. Strikers are clearly a problem but, whilst the midfield might be ‘solid’ it is seriously lacking in creativity IMO. Prem strikers score maybe 60/70% of chances, L2 strikers maybe 10/15% so if there is little in the way of creativity and the strikers only get 1 or 2 chances in a game we’re not going to score many. Regarding the defence – ‘solid’ is not the first word that comes to mind, some improvement lately I grant you but a way to go before we can be consistently called solid.
