I think one of the things that most frustrates people about Loft is that he’s got the build of a target man, so people expect him to be good at; linking up play, heading and possessing a good first touch. He has none of the above.
His main strength seems to be playing on the shoulder as he’s got a decent turn of pace for a big lad, he left the Mansfield defender for dust before fluffing that 2nd chance. He also scored a couple of good goals last year which involved him running through the channels.
His last 2 performances in particular have been nothing short of shameful and I’d be disappointed if he wasn’t benched for Saturday. However, there is potentially a player in there. Hopefully Hill can get a tune out of him.
