Watson has improved Ferrite after Cox told him to find another club and brought in a loanee who was younger and less experienced. Looks like we may never find out if Bilson would have been any good but I think Watson and perhaps Muzzy can take the credit for any improvement that Rory has made.
With O’Malley he had a great first season and then Cox brought in a replacement of similar age and experience and favoured him when picking the team. Nothing against Thompson but O’Malley has looked a player again since Cox left so no I don’t give him any credit for that development either.
I am also delighted with Hippo having been a critic of him in the past. Again though he has already had more good games under Hill than he achieved in Cox’s 60 games in charge. Coincidence? I don’t think so.
