I keep forgetting about Jarvis. I do agree he probably has more potential to become a “proper” League 2 target man than Loft. I like Loft’s work rate and the bit of edge that he has but his hold up play has not improved in the slightest since he has been here. I really don’t know what these guys do in training but it is not working. Surely Lillis could coach the guy on proper centre forward play.
When Loft does get the ball sent up to him he immediately tries to take on his man or try some outrageous first time ball. He never gets the ball properly under control and lays a simple ball off to midfield or a partner (on the odd occasion he has a partner).
I would be applying the 3 strike rule. Do it once you get the stare. Do it twice you get a bollocking. Third time your substituted and Jarvis comes on.
