It wouldn’t have been too much for the club to inform Scunthorpe supporters of the situation, instead of just saying “he is not present for personal reasons”,
When that terminology is used you can be fairly certain it relates to a family illness or bereavement.
This sadly was the case at the weekend. The club get a lot of things wrong, but IMO the statement they issued on Saturday was the correct one.
We all offer Neil our sincere condolences. Some things are bigger than football.
Let’s hope the players support their manager by going out and performing well at Carlisle.
