I really hope neither of the loanees are on the George Thomas kind of deal. He got picked game after game despite being plainly not ready for mens football. Rumours at the time suggested we paid about a grand a week towards his wages if he played but had to pay the full (unbelievable Jeff) 13 grand if he didn’t play.
Wood and Scrimshaw look like they are ready for mens football. The other lad from Middlesbrough doesn’t look ready on yesterday’s showing. It’s only one game and the lad might adapt quickly but I would rather see Perry and Pugh in the meantime. They have shown they can cope with League 2 football.
