Millen is near enough fit now I think, not far off. Rowe put in that display last match and Pugh can do a job there, albeit a bit dodgy there but can hold his own at times.
Thompson and O’malley for the LB slot isn’t too shabby. Scrimshaw, Loft “when he’s back” as the main two upfront with O’neil and Jarvis as back ups is a bit questionable but I imagine Scrimshaw and Loft will cause teams a lot of problems at this level.
This Hackney from what I’ve read is supposed to be a right player. I’ve read what the Boro fans said about him, by all accounts league one clubs were after him but we’ve somehow managed to get it done.
I can’t recall ever reading so many positive comments on a player before. Hull lad is supposed to be a bit of a player as well.
Perry, Hackney, Beestin, Wood and Pugh as the options now. Hallam will probably never be fit and Kenyon despite being injured looked like he was shuffling around in lead boots, never seen anybody as immobile as him before.
I would have liked a striker in but considering we had very little CM options, these two will do nicely. There’s no way we could have kept relying on Hippolyte and whoever else filling in there for much longer.
All in all I’m personally pretty pleased. Get Millen and Bunn back fit to add to the options and we may be ok. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’d keep Watson in goal now, Bilson will have to wait.
