I’ve lived overseas for 40 years but always followed Scun Utd. Delighted when iFollow was introduced to watch every game live. But I have never seen such dross as what we “watch” now. It is indeed the poorest Scun Utd team ever. Remember not too long back when we “moaned” about Novak and McArdle – when we had Holmes, Townsend and Wallace in the line up. Last night was not football – it was hoofball. For the first time, I switched off at 2-0 down because it was a disgrace. A loss is not a disgrace to a better team provided we put in 110% – but that is clearly not the case. I’m not an advocate of continually changing managers and Cox did inherit 6 signings. A clear out is required – too much inexperience is there back to front, lacking in any commitment to the club. Sad to see Karacan and Gilliead been brought down to the level of this dross. Swann’s strategy for this club has failed. There will be experienced players in non league who would give their right arm to be back in the “league” and who would most definitely put a shift in and proud to wear the shirt. Bring some in starting with the goalkeeper (why did we let Gilks go, and we were most definitely spoiled with Murphy).
