Not sure if you heard mr cox on the radio last night mate but it seems highly unlikely Alex will be with us next season, he did state they have had some conversations about a new contract but with Jordan getting injured Alex wants to concentrate on the captains role until Jordan is back.
You could tell by the way mr cox was talking that he is almost certainly resigned to Alex leaving, as he stated he had told him he wanted to play at a lot higher level.
I too would be sad to see him go (if he does) but also I believe we still haven’t seen the best of Alex yet in a scunny shirt, this season he has been playing more defensive but now we appear to have a settled defence I would like to see him attack more and take on players.
