In my opinion one of the biggest problems thta’s not mentioned yet is too many players are not able to read the game, so very often they will be surprised in a situation and make a wrong decision.
I know, at this level you can’t expect all players to be all so smart, and also young players won’t be so but I think it is a key ability for getting results.
On the keeper thing: Age does not make a goalkeeper experienced, and a keeper doesn’t need expeirnce to be commanding his defense.
