Fair point BRI. It’s far too simplistic .. but I do think that push back against a perceived threat of ‘loss of sovereignty’, ‘unaccountable leadership’ etc was a primary motivating force for many who voted to leave. Characterising leave voters as ‘racist’ or ‘naive’ or ‘self centred’, as some are doing, seems to me at least equally simplistic. I think even the most ardent Brexiteer would probably accept the benefits of a return to the days of a Common Market.
( ps Thank you for your supportive comment regarding Gurney’s decision to stick with his defamatory and hypocritical tactics regarding my posts. I have definitely rattled his cage at some point in the past and would love to know what the trigger was. I did ask at one point but he’s in too deep to deal with me as a fellow human.
