Exactly, folk like AWG being gung-ho about how much they don’t know has become almost mainstream thanks to the populists in charge. And, that’s why the infection and death rates per capita in Britain and the US have been among the worst in the world.
Just look at Johnson a few months back, poo-pooing the risks, back-slapping and shaking hands and all and sundry, telling people to just wash their hands and sing ‘happy birthday’. No doubt AWG was singing from the same hymn sheet.
Then what happened? Johnson nearly died, probably after passing on the disease to numerous others.
Evidence here and in other European countries suggests rates are increasing again, and with some returning to work and uni, coupled with cooler weather, more time spent indoors, and a general outbreak of ‘I’ve had enough’ selfishness and ignorance, it’s likely to spike again, and may be around for the next 2-3 years.
