You don’t follow do you? It’s not about you or me. It’s about protecting society as a whole.
If you read what I said above re: I’d feel safer standing, and Ferrite commented that the flip side of this was that it meant groups could congregate on the terrace without social distancing. However, my point is that I could walk away from them if I wasn’t comfortable.
This is exactly how it is in a pub. If I think there are too many people, too close together I can decide to move away or even leave.
Yes, I was in Yorkshire the other weekend and have been to several popular spots over the Bank Holiday just passed. But always I have been in a position where I am well away from others. Some bars and restaurants are superbly well organised to ensure social distancing (usually in areas that get a lot of visitors) others (some local boozers) not so.
This is as much to protect others as it is myself. I have no doubt SUFC will only allow fans back if everything is in place to minimise risk. Until then I’ll monitor the situation carefully.
