With smaller budgets and salary caps, you’re going to see the return of the utility player, anyone who can cover two or more positions is going to be much more attractive to clubs.
For what it’s worth, I would have Clarke down as a centre back. For me, his best performances have come in the middle, particularly under Robins when he played in a back three. I’ve never been that excited by him as a full back.
