Van Veen rejoins the Iron

Former Scunthorpe United striker Kevin van Veen has returned to Glanford Park less than a year after leaving for Northampton Town.

Van Veen, 27, has signed for an undisclosed fee and has penned a two-and-a-half year deal at the club.

The Dutch forward first joined the Iron back in January 2015, before going on to score 23 goals and laying on 12 assists in 116 appearances in claret and blue.

After leaving Glanford Park, van Veen had a difficult start to his time with the Cobblers but has notched 10 goals in 28 outings so far this season.
