Scunthorpe eyeing loan move for Hull defender

The Iron are reportedly one of several clubs plotting a January loan move for Hull City defender Lewis Ritson, according to HITC Sport.

Stuart McCall’s side are expected to add defensive reinforcements to their squad during the transfer window, having conceded 42 league goals so far this season.

HITC believes that former Scunthorpe boss, Nigel Adkins, has recommended the centre-back to the club, in the hope of securing first-team football for the 20-year-old.

Ritson, who is highly-rated by the Tigers, is also attracting the interest of several League One and League Two club’s, one of which is believed to be Port Vale.
