Report: Nwoko set for Iron trial

Valletta striker Kyrian Nwoko is set to undergo a trial at Scunthorpe United at the end of January, according to the Times of Malta.

It is understood Valletta have now given the player, who was likened to former Iron striker Lyle Taylor by Scunthorpe manager Stuart McCall, permission to travel to England for a trial at Glanford Park

The Malta U-21 striker was linked with the Iron last year and has been watched by the club’s Head of Recruitment Lee Turnbull.

This season he has made 10 appearances with the Maltese champions and has two assists to his name.
