Mendez-Laing on trial with Iron

ml understand that former Peterborough winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing is on trial with the club.

Mendez-Laing, who spent time on loan at League Two side Cambridge last season struggled for fitness with the Posh and was released in the summer.

The 23 year old is one of a number of players Iron boss Mark Robins will run the rule over during pre season.

It was reported he was close to a switch to United’s opening day opponents Burton last month, but the move failed to materialise.
