Barnsley have rejected a bid in the region of £300,000 from Leeds United for in form striker Sam Winnall.

It is believed that Barnsley are looking for £1million for the former Scunthorpe man.

Winnall’s hat trick against Rochdale last weekend took his goals tally to 14 for the season.

It is not clear at this stage whether Scunthorpe United included a sell on clause into the rumoured £250,000 deal which saw Winnall depart for Oakwell in June 2014.
