Kee & O’Neill ruled out

New signing Billy Kee and loanee Luke O’Neill will both miss tonight’s game with Reading.

Kee is cup tied having appeared in the first round of the Capital One cup for Burton, whilst Luke O’Neill is also unavailable having been refused permission to play by parent club Burnley.

However, Loanee goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik and defender Miles Addison will be able to feature as Peterborough and Bournemouth have granted the duo permission to face Nigel Adkins’ men.

Russ Wilcox told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: “Billy is obviously cup tied, so he can’t be involved and Burnley haven’t given Luke O’Neill permission to be involved”.

“Bobby is available, which is a massive positive. Peterborough have given him permission to play which is great. It’s the same with Miles, he’s fine as well.

“They are two positives, but we’ll see a few changes because we’ve got a few little niggles again. You always seem to get them when things aren’t quite going right.

“The positive side to that is the involvement of a couple of the younger lads. Kyle Wootton and Noel Burdett will come into the squad”.

The match against Reading kicks off at 7.45pm.
