Bristol City boss Lee Johnson says he is looking forward to facing one of his fancies for promotion in the second round of the EFL Cup at Glanford Park tomorrow night.
“They’re a really good side and they’ve got a strong squad for the division”, Johnson told Bristol City’s Official website.
“I’m very experienced in League One and I know that all their players are in their prime and strong lads. In my mind they will be one of the top two who get automatic promotion.
“They’ve got a good manager, the club is moving forward, they’re moving into a new stadium and the owner is throwing a bit of cash at it. It will be a really tough game and I’m interested to see how we do.”
The Robins arrive on the back of a narrow home defeat to Newcastle and are expected to make a couple of changes from the side that went down infront of a record Ashton Gate crowd on Saturday.
“It’s an important game for us.
“We have to get it right,” he said of team selection. “We want to win the game, but there are a couple of players who do need a rest – there’s no doubting that when you look at the statistics.”
