Iron trio miss out on award as Antonsson scoops PFA Player of the Month

Blackburn Rovers striker Marcus Antonsson has been voted the PFA Bristol Street Motors League One Player of the Month for November by football fans across the country.

In a vote run by fan engagement experts, Snack Media, he won with 42% of the vote, while Rovers team-mate Charlie Mulgrew came in behind him with 18%.

The full list of contenders from the final shortlist polled were as follows:

  • Marcus Antonsson (Rovers) – 42%
  • Charlie Mulgrew (Rovers) – 18%
  • Wes Thomas (Oxford United) – 12%
  • Matthew Gilks (Scunthorpe United) – 11%
  • Cameron Burgess (Scunthorpe United) – 10%
  • Duane Holmes (Scunthorpe United) – 7%
