Iron sign free agent Ben El-Mhanni

Scunthorpe United have signed free agent attacker Yasin Ben El-Mhanni on a deal until the end of the season.

Ben El-Mhanni, who was born in London to Moroccan parents, was with Barnet and Aldershot Town in his youth career before signing for Newcastle United in 2016.

The 23-year-old has recently been on trial with Championship side Brentford and has been training with the Iron for the last couple of weeks.

“I’m over the moon and I’m absolutely buzzing to sign here,” he told the club’s official site.
