Mantom has been no stranger to the treatment table during his time at Glanford Park, with his latest injury set to put further strain on the Iron’s midfield area.
Manager Graham Alexander gave the latest update, after speaking to the Scunthorpe Telegraph.
He said, “We have a bit of daylight on Sam Mantom’s injury situation. We’ve had a diagnosis and we now what the issue is.
“He is going to have an injection that will take him out of action for a couple of weeks. We should have him back in 3-4 weeks in a better condition than he has been. Hopefully the issue will have been cleared up with this injection.”
